All Tours Are Free And Self-guided; No Reservations Are Necessary. The United States Mint Is Not Opened On Most Federal Holidays. Visitors Can See Actual Coin Production. Exhibits And Video Stations Provide Information About The United States Mint And Its History, Coinage And Current Programs. The Tour Takes About 45 Minutes. The Visitors' Entrance Is On The Corner Of Fifth And Arch Streets On Independence Mall. Adults Will Be Asked To Provide Government-issued Photo Identification For Security Purposes.
Summer Tour Hours, 2010: Monday – Saturday: 9 Am – 4:30 Pm, May 22 Through Labor Day.
Open Saturday, Sunday And Monday Of Memorial Day, July 4th And Labor Day Weekends.
