The Old Pine Community Center Has Been A Part Of The Society Hill Neighborhood For Over Thirty Years. The Center Began As A Joint Venture Of Old Pine Street Church, The Presbyterian Historical Society, St. Peter's School, And The Friends Of Old Pine. Together, Members Of These Organizations Envisioned A Meeting Place Where Various Education And Social Service Programs Could Be Offered To The Surrounding Community. Today, The Center Serves As A Meeting Place For A Variety Of Twelve-step Groups And Local Organizations By Offering Affordable Rental Space. The Center Also Offers Its Own Programs For Children And Adults, Such As The After School Program And Adult Education Program.The Center's Mission Is To Provide Programs That Enrich The Lives Of The Community, Without Regard To Age, Race, Sex, Religion, Sexual Orientation, Or Social Status. Closely Related To This Mission, The Center Strives To Serve As A Place Where People Of Diverse Backgrounds Can Work, Learn, And Relax Together.
