It's Recognized Internationally For Its Vast Collections, Research, Exhibits, And Educational Programs. The Academy’s Collection Of Over 17 Million Cataloged Natural History Specimens And Artifacts Is Among The Ten Largest In The US. It Is A 501(c) (3) Non-profit Organization With An Annual Operating Budget Of Over $13 Million And Over 200 Staff. It Is A Member Of Parkway Council, A Coalition Of Cultural And Educational Institutions And Businesses In The Benjamin Franklin Parkway Area Of Philadelphia, Known As The Parkway Museums District.
